Developmental Services . . .
All people are valuable and contribute to life in their communities. All people have abilities, talents, and gifts and should be given opportunities to develop and share in their communities.
Community Living Support
LifeSkills' Supports for Community Living (SCL) program promotes and enhances community living for individuals with developmental disabilities. We believe that each individual has the potential to lead a productive life in the community and we are committed to providing quality supports and training to all individuals. Individualized supports utilize the strengths and abilities of each individual to assist him or her in achieving personal goals.

Respite
Respite care is temporary relief care designed for families of children or adults with special needs. It can range from a few hours of care provided on a one-time basis to overnight or extended care sessions.  This can be utilized on a regular or irregular basis and can be provided by family members, friends, skilled care providers, or professionals. Providers, chosen by the family, care for children or adults with special needs while families take a much needed break from care giving.

Change Opportunities
Opportunities for Change was developed to help people with a history of experiencing crises to have a better quality of life. Emphasis is placed on restructuring supports so that the focus person is likely to succeed, and teaching the focus person skills that will reduce dependence on maladaptive means of meeting needs. This means helping the people to have: opportunities to use the same community resources other members of the community use; more personal relationships; increased lifestyle choices; better reputations; and increased skills.
