A few years ago we began a company-wide examination of our corporate culture. At all levels of our enterprise we came together in planning groups and challenged each other to look at our business practices and take an accounting of what we are, what makes us proud and what are our strengths and weaknesses. From this investment of time and energy, we discovered that there are core values that unite us all. We determined that the moral and ethical standards: Integrity, Teamwork, Trust/Respect, Care/Compassion and Ownership/Accountability were not just catch phrases, but a foundation upon which we wanted to build our future success.
Our employees recognized that these sustaining values will serve us well today and act as our compass as we chart our course toward a new tomorrow. With these core values we can build relationships within our organization, we can use them to govern our interactions with those we serve and we can strengthen our bonds with the communities that support us.
A company that maintains its principles becomes stronger, healthier and has a brighter future. That was our vision for LifeSkills. Our Board and leadership team have a clear, mission-driven strategy about the direction in which we want our company to go. We have the continuing support of the community and we have a capable and committed staff to help get us there.
It is my sincere hope that you will want to become a part of our mission and I encourage you to do so.
